Junkyard Youth Group

We call The Ridge’s youth group the Junkyard! Junkyard meets on Wednesday nights starting in late August through the middle of May. Students can be dropped off at the south entrance to check in, connect with one of our youth sponsors and participate in a small group (which we call Car Groups).

Junkyard Resources

Similar to confirmation at other churches, we offer The Walk to all our 9th thru 12th graders. It’s an opportunity for youth to learn about God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, the Church and the Bible. After completing The Walk, students have the choice to make a public confession of their faith and be included in a baptism invitation. The Walk classes begin in January and end at Easter.

Sign-ups open in the fall

During the summers, the Junkyard youth group focuses on serving and growing through trips together.

If Ankeny schools cancel classes for the day OR dismiss early due to bad weather, then there will be NO youth group. If bad weather hits after school, then we will still have youth group and you may use your judgment on if you want to attend or not.
