Support Groups

The Ridge provides support groups to the Ankeny and greater Des Moines community to help you navigate life. You do not need to be a partner or attend the church in order to take part in support groups. Except for the cost of materials, there are no fees or a minimal fee for most groups, unless otherwise noted. Registration is not required. Every support group places a high priority on protecting your identity and privacy.

What you’ll experience will vary from group to another, but several elements are common. These include:

  1. The freedom to reveal your true thoughts, feelings and circumstances without condemnation.
  2. Connection with others who have “been there” and can relate to your situation and talk about their experience, strength and hope.
  3. The opportunity to find support, healing and encouragement as you deal with life’s challenges.

Some support groups take a break during the summer. However, group leaders are available for support. Contact the Director of Support & Small Groups to be in contact with group leaders.
