May change of date and location: May 21 in Room 100
Everything changes after a diagnosis of cancer, for the person with cancer, and for his or her family. We are reminded of our mortality. We re-examine our values and re-order our priorities. And we embark on an important spiritual journey.
No one should have to go through this battle alone and this is where our support group comes in. Cancer Care is not a therapy group, but a support group for individuals and families; a place to come together to talk about needs and feelings during the various transitions. Emotions are welcome at our meetings. Those who attend are encouraged to laugh wholeheartedly and cry freely. As we talk, we realize that there are people who understand.
Cancer Care is a collaborative support group facilitated by Hope and Prairie Ridge Church. It is held at The Ridge location on the second Sunday of the month at 6:30pm. Free childcare is provided.
