What is New York City Trinity Church? Trinity is located in the historic Clinton or Hell’s Kitchen section of New York City. Started as a Sunday School mission over a stable on Tenth Avenue in 1877, the 100-member congregation – though limited by space, membership size, and funds – carries on a diverse ministry that continues to focus on youth and children along with the homeless and the elderly. Housed in two old tenement buildings, almost 140 years old, Trinity has tens of thousands of dollars of infrastructure challenges that threaten to impact their ability to carry out their ministry.

What does an average day look like? Each day will start with personal reflection and group devotion. Each day lunch will be together (often in central park) and will conclude with a mid-day devotion. At the end of the workday we will travel to the showers and then have free time until around 10:00 PM. The day will conclude with worship and devotion. Work consists of light construction projects, painting, and leaning.

Who can go? Anyone 18 and older is encouraged to attend. Those between 15-18 must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian, and be able to contribute to the work projects being done. This is not the easiest trip both physically and mentally, there is not much alone time, there is a lot of walking, and God will place personal challenges right in front of you that are not easily solved or sidestepped.

Cost? $350 per person (community meals, lodging, ground transportation).

When do I have to register? The deadline is May 1st. With a non-refundable deposit if $100. The remainder of the cost due June 1st. Space is limited.
