RidgeKids 6 Summer Sundays | June 23rd - July 28th

Welcome to RidgeKids!

RidgeKids is our elementary-age (Kindergarten-5th grade) programming here at Prairie Ridge. We want to provide kids an environment to develop authentic faith that encourages making church friends, developing the fruits of the Spirit, and building trust in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Our prayer is that when they leave 5th grade, they know how to live out our mission of "Having Fun Following Jesus".

Our mission is simple. Have fun following Jesus! We want kids to be excited to know God and be joy-filled in living the life He has planned for us. We can’t wait to see your kids on Sundays or at our events throughout the year!

What is RidgeKids?

Here at the Ridge, Sunday School is called Ridge Kids!
Ridge Kids meets regularly during the school year during both services. When your kid comes for the first time, greeters will welcome you and get your kid all signed up and registered for Ridge Kids. Then your kid will go into the gym and meet their small group. Groups are broken up by grade levels. Each group will have a color and a mascot. For example, our kindergarteners are part of the “Red Rabbit” group.

During our time together, kids will have time to build connections in their groups, worship, hear a lesson, and then go through activities on how the lesson applies to them. Each month, we have a memory verse that we encourage kids to learn and recite. We would love to have your kids join us one Sunday! Feel free to contact Neil Erredge, our Director of Kid Ministry, with any questions.

Yearly Flow

While we have Ridge Kids every Sunday during the school year, we also have extra events year-round that families can participate in. Ridge Kids runs September through May with breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Spring Break. Then during the summer, we offer Six Summer Sundays where kids are invited to join for a more scaled back version of Ridge Kids. In the fall, we offer monthly events for kids and families to build relationships with each other. In the spring, we lean into the importance of serving others.

JUMP is our program for just the thing! Parents and kids gather for six Tuesday evenings and enjoy dinner, fellowship, and do a service project for different local ministries. Our goal for our year calendar is to foster an environment where kids can build a relationship with Christ while building relationships with their family and friends!

Barnyard Nursery

For younger children, the Barnyard Nursery is the place to be. Our volunteers are always up for playing, reading, or cuddling your kiddos while you head to “big church” to get some God time. We also find ways to work in some age-appropriate activities and games to help your little ones learn how much God loves them.

Sunday Morning Check-In

  • Parents can drop their children off at 8:45a for 1st service and 10:15a for 2nd service.
  • Only have one parent bring their child/children to the room for drop-off and pick-up.
  • Parents will not be allowed in the nursery rooms when dropping off.
